November 25- Psalm 86:12-13

THE VERSE

I give thanks to you, O Lord my God, with my whole heart, and I will glorify your name forever. For great is your steadfast love toward me; you have delivered my soul from the depths of Sheol.
~Psalm 86:12-13

THE THOUGHT

For this Thanksgiving, meditate on the wonderful words of this song by Stuart Townend and Keith Getty:

My heart is filled with thankfulness
To Him who bore my pain;
Who plumbed the depths of my disgrace
And gave me life again;
Who crushed my curse of sinfulness
And clothed me in His light
And wrote His law of righteousness
With power upon my heart.

My heart is filled with thankfulness
To Him who walks beside;
Who floods my weaknesses with strength
And causes fears to fly;
Whose every promise is enough
For every step I take,
Sustaining me with arms of love
And crowning me with grace.

My heart is filled with thankfulness
To him who reigns above,
Whose wisdom is my perfect peace,
Whose every thought is love.
For every day I have on earth
Is given by the King;
So I will give my life, my all,
To love and follow him.

THE PRAYER

Dear God, How can I thank you enough for all the blessings You have showered on my life? I am unworthy of the least of Your kindnesses, and yet You have given even Your beloved Son to me, to save and satisfy me forever! Who am I, that You would be minful of me, let alone send Your Son to die for me? I will give thanks to You with my whole heart, and I long to glorify Your name forever, for great is Your love towards me! You have delivered me from the depths of the grave. Thank you!
