THE VERSE
To Him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by His blood and has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve His God and Father- to Him be glory and power for ever and ever! Amen.~Revelation 1:5b-6
THE THOUGHT
We were saved to serve. Jesus blood has bought us, and we have been liberated from our sin and set free to serve God. We are a royal priesthood, a people belonging to God, called to declare His praises. We are His kingdom, and we are His ministers of reconciliation and His ambassadors to a lost and hurting world. Our salvation is not an end in and of itself, the point at which we can sit back and smugly say, "I have arrived." Salvation is the doorway through which we enter into the abundant life of enjoying God and glorifying Him in our words, worship, and actions.THE PRAYER
Dear God, You have saved me, and I am Yours. You are more than my Savior; You are my Lord and my God, and I owe my salvation, my very breath to You. Teach me to love like You love, to serve with Your heart and to glorify You in all that I do.EXTENDED READING
